Is there a discount for taking archived courses?
We think you will get a lot more out of live courses, so we keep the price the same for all courses, active or archived, as a disincentive for taking archived courses. Our course price is already minimal.
How do I meet the minimum posting requirement in archived courses?
You can still post comments on previous posts, but there might not be another current student to respond to yours. Read through all the posts and then respond to a few you find compelling (or puzzling) or post your own comments regarding the assignment. Since you need to post at least 20 times (4 per assignment), keep each of your replies limited to one topic or discussion and write just a paragraph or two.
Is there a time limit for completing an archived course?
No. You can work at your own pace. You should be able to complete the entire course in about 8 hours (including reading and commenting on posts by others). Your certificate of completion will be waiting for you when you are finished filling out the verification questionnaire.
Will archived courses ever be offered as live courses again?
YES! In fact, we can make an archived course active at any time (with or without previous posts). If you and a few friends would like to take a course, we can set it up just for you or invite others to join the course at a specific time. Contact pastorpatty@verizon.net to make arrangements.
If my group wants to take an archived course as an active course, can we set up certificates with our group's information on it?
YES! Contact pastorpatty@verizon.net for arrangements. We can set up your own certificate with your group leaders' names, titles and signatures, unique course title, and graphic. When your group members complete their course successfully, they will automatically receive the certificate (with their name and the date they completed the course) to print or download. For more information on use of courses by other groups, see topic: Offering Courses to Other Groups
